Sweet Baby

Wow, 2 posts in 2 days. Don't get too used to it LOL.

My gorgeous friend Pete had her 3rd beautiful boy (well, I assume he is beautiful, I'm still waiting on some pics LOL) just before Christmas. I have been so slack. I bought her a gift the week he was born but only just sent it. I only made his card yesterday. I was inspired by two different cards when thinking of what to do. This one by Tracey Old & these ones on Splitcoast.

I had some little sew on baby blocks & nappy pins so incorporated them with some of SU's chunky glitter to fill the cup (try not to get the glitter stuck to the edge of the sweet treat cup, as i did) . I've seen the glitter used in the 'Sweet Treat Cups' on several blogs and it looks quite effective. The stamp set is 'Something Sweet' and is more versatile than I first thought, isn't it funny how you can be not-so-keen on something til you see it used elsewhere. I paper-pierced the bottom right corner of the central piece but didn't feel that it stood out so I added the hearts. I really like them. I must get a larger paper-piercer. I wish SU would make their's available separately to the tool kit.

Anyway, I hope Pete likes it (and that I get to see some pics before he starts school, hehe).

Thanks for popping by,
Fi xox
