Keesh's Colour Inspiration with a little mojo

Hi Guys,
Wow, time flies. I can't believe how long it's been since I last posted anything (or, for that matter, how it can be a month since Christmas????). I was planning to post more often but with all the hot weather I've been a bit disinclined to sit in my study/stamp room when the aircon is in the lounge room. Also I have had zilch mojo. As such it is great to have Keesh inspiring us with challenges once again. can't believe she's had time, what with selling their property and moving across the country. Puts me to shame!

Anyway, onto the challenge. Keesh used pretty and subtle colours. I couldn't come up with anything until I took a look at this week's Mojo Monday. I knew the stamp set that I wanted to use (Greenhouse Garden, unfortunately not available in Aus) so this gave me a layout.

And here is my card. I now wish that I'd placed a layer of Chocolate Chip CS behind the very Vanilla panel but I wasn't going to pull it apart (not after the struggle to get the prongs of the VV grommet through so many CS layers. Note to self: pierce some guide holes first!)

ETA: it got the better of me & I had to add the Chocolate Chip strips to the centre panel and changed the VV button for one sent to me by the gorgeous Lee-Anne Barry. What do you think?

I really like the floral images but a 'stamp-a-ma-jig' is essential for lining up the background flowers with the markings. the sentiment comes from the 'Sale-a-bration' catalogue. That's right, it's that time of year again. For every $100 of product purchased or if you host a workshop with $600 in sales, you can receive a free set from the 'Sale-a-bration' catty (click on the link to the right to view the SAB catalogue). There are 4 lovely sets, I want them all, LOL.

Must get moving, am back to work tonight. Have a good one,
Cheers, Fi xox

Gorgeous, Fi! Great interpretation of the sketch too, I love the grommet & buttons! (I find it's easier to punch a 1/2" circle out of the cardstock first, then put the grommet through & fold the prongs back). Hope your shift goes well tonight xx

Beautiful card Fiona - I'm glad you decided to put choc chip card behind the vv panel - sets it off beautifully, and that cute little button is perfect.
